Treat Yourself to Knights Templar Armor, Marto
Knights Templar armor, sash
Although the origin of combat armor dates back to Egyptian times and was further developed by the Greeks and Romans, the best-known medieval armor is made of steel, or iron plates joined together with hooks, nuts, and nails, and secured to the warrior with straps and clamps. Armor reached perfection in the Middle Ages, and by the mid-16th century, it had become a luxurious garment for warriors, adorned and embellished with the beauty of sculpture and the metal industry. From the 18th century onward, it was used only as an incomparable decoration for castles, palaces, museums, and all those places that wanted to incorporate a beautiful historical memory into their spaces.
The Royal Museum of Arms in Madrid houses one of the largest and richest collections of armour in the world, containing mainly pieces from the period of Charles I in the 16th century, which inspired Marto to reproduce them in various sizes or scales, where the materials and elements used are very similar to the originals: handcrafted iron and steel, brocade and wooden bases that give the metal an antique patina that protects it from external oxidation.
