Shoulder armor and neck protector
DescriptionWhen you live as dangerously (and possibly illegally) as you do, it's important to have all the necessary protection at hand. A hood to cover your face is essential, but if you had to give a young thief one piece of advice, you'd tell them to protect their neck.
Your shoulder armor and neck guard protect your throat from would-be assassins and executioners with a hungry noose. As long as you're quick and take care of yourself, this is a piece of gear that's likely to keep you stealing for a long time.
DETAILS
The Epic Armoury Shoulder Armor and Neck Guard is a set of leather armor featuring two pauldrons and a gorget to protect the shoulders and throat. Crafted from vegetable-tanned full-grain leather, this armor utilizes overlapping plates and two small blade breakers to deflect attacks away from the head. All exposed edges are reinforced with leather and stitching to prevent warping from overuse.
Secure the shoulder armor and neck guard around your neck by threading a leather strap through two loops on the back. Adjust the piece to your size by tightening the heavy-duty laces and leather straps on your upper arms. Visually appealing and designed to be style-neutral, this armor can be worn by a variety of characters in a multitude of worlds.
Available in black/brown and brown/black; and in size Large.

Maintenance
Natural leather products are very durable, but they require regular maintenance with leather care products to maintain their suppleness and extend their lifespan. Make sure your leather products stay dry when stored. Let wet leather dry naturally before treating it. If it frequently gets wet and dries, increase the frequency of maintenance.
Cleaning
Clean by removing dirt with a stiff brush, then gently rub leather soap with a clean, damp cloth until the leather looks clean. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to clean any soap residue, and then use a dry cloth to wipe away any remaining water from the leather.
Conditioning
You should always condition leather after cleaning it, as the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. Treat the leather with mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or wax into the leather in circles. Allow the leather to soak in the oil before wiping it with a final clean cloth to remove excess residue.
