DETAILS
Epic Armoury's Roman Shoulder Pads are ancient Roman-inspired shoulder pads designed to deflect blows from the shoulder and head. Made from vegetable-tanned full-grain leather and heavy cotton canvas, this armor is also reinforced with additional leather and stitching around the edges to preserve its shape with extended use. Along the outer edge, the Roman shoulder pads are decorated with thin leather and heavy canvas straps that extend from the upper arms to offer protection and excellent mobility.
Secure the Roman shoulder armor to your existing breastplate or mail using sturdy leather shoulder laces. The style is appropriate for a Roman infantryman or legionary and is fully compatible with other leather and metal armor from Epic Armory, giving you the freedom to customize your costume.

Maintenance
Natural leather products are very durable, but they require regular maintenance with leather care products to stay supple and extend their lifespan. Make sure your leather products stay dry when stored. Let wet leather dry naturally before treating it. If it frequently gets wet and dries, increase the frequency of maintenance.
Cleaning
Clean by removing dirt with a stiff brush, then gently rub leather soap with a clean, damp cloth until the leather looks clean. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to clean any soap residue, and then use a dry cloth to wipe away any remaining water from the leather.
Conditioning
You should always condition leather after cleaning it, as the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. Treat the leather with mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or wax into the leather in circles. Allow the leather to soak in the oil before wiping it with a final clean cloth to remove excess residue.
