Gothic plate armor



This highly decorative reconstruction of a late 15th century German knight's armour is hand-made from solid sheet steel. All parts are movable, making the armour wearable.



In the Middle Ages, plate armour was always made to measure. We offer a standard size for a man of average height and a height of 1.75 cm to about 1.80 cm. The adjustable straps with buckles are riveted on almost all relevant parts. (It is true that the buckles could be replaced with more authentic models.) Therefore, some size adjustments are possible. However, we would like to point out that you should not expect a 100% fit with armour like this.



The armor consists of the following components:


- Helmet, a simple helmet with a folding visor and hood

- Two-part folding halter

- Two very elaborately carved shoulder pieces, each already fully connected to the upper and forearm tubes

- Two elbow pads that are fixed between the upper tubes and forearm using leather straps

- A pair of very flexible gothic gauntlets (item no. 1016602300) with a suede inner glove.

- Harness, consisting of chest and back armor

- Two complete leg parts, with diechlings on top, knee pads, tubes on the lower legs and armored shoes (also called sabatons, iron shoes or soleret)
