Determine ring sizes

In this country, two different ring sizes are used: the inner diameter and the inner circumference.

Please note be sure to determine your optimal ring size before each purchase!

Determining the inner diameter of the ring:
The easiest way to do this is to measure an existing ring, properly fitting the ring by determining the diameter by hand. To do this, simply place the ring on a measuring tape or ruler. Ideally, you'll need a caliper. Determine the inner diameter in millimetres and you will have your individual ring size.

Determine the inner circumference of the ring:
The circumference of your finger corresponds to the inside circumference and is much more accurate as a measurement for determining ring size than the inside diameter measurement. To determine the optimal ring size without an existing ring, use a piece of thread or string to measure the circumference of your finger at the point where you would like to wear the ring. You can also wrap a strip of paper tightly around your finger at the point of wear, mark the area, and then measure the length of the strip to the mark (in mm). This value corresponds to the inside circumference of the ring.

What is also important:
Measure the finger you want to wear the ring on exactly, as the finger circumferences of the right and left hands are different and can differ significantly. Since ring sizes change over time, check whether the previous size is still correct. Your ring size will change throughout the day. Fingers are usually thicker in the evening than in the morning. Ring size also changes throughout life, for example during or after pregnancy, diet or an illness. Therefore, if possible, do not rely on a size that was determined a long time ago. The season also influences finger circumference. In summer, fingers are usually thicker than in winter: the higher the temperature, the thicker the fingers. For optimal comfort, you should choose a larger size for wider rings than for narrow rings.
