The justaucorps was first used as a military uniform in the 17th century and was later also worn by civilians. Typical of justaucorps are the close-fitting fit at the front, the flared skirt at the back and the dividing seam along the waist. It can be assumed that pirates snatched the justaucorps from fine merchants and thus stole their clothing.



Our pirate coat is made of sturdy cotton fabric ( canvas ) and is fully lined inside. Applied ribbons, high-quality ball buttons, wide cuffs and side pockets with large flaps give it an authentic pirate look. The cut is close-fitting and the skirt flares slightly at the back. If you combine the coat with simple cotton trousers, a medieval shirt and a wide leather belt, you will get a harmonious pirate costume.

To determine your dress size based on your body measurements, measure horizontally at the fullest point. For tops, use your chest measurement as a guide. If you are between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size. The cut includes comfort add-ons.
