The Outback™ has always been Down Under Knives' most popular knife and has seen the most development throughout its lifespan. Whenever they found a way to improve it even slightly, those changes inevitably ended up in the next production run. However, there was a recurring theme throughout the development cycle—admittedly coming mostly from people who had never used a Down Under Knives knife before, but it's a valid point nonetheless.

What if Down Under Knives offered not only upgrades... but also a choice?

Well, that choice is here today. The Outback™ Eclipse: the proven Outback™ design, crafted from 1095 carbon steel and finished in all black. The handle is constructed entirely of leather and dyed a deep black. It comes with the same improved Mark II sheath design as today's classic Outback™, only in black. The solid brass crossguard and pommel are highly polished, and the heat-treated RC 58-59 blade ensures it's just as rugged and reliable as its stainless steel sister we all know and love. It might look a little more cutting-edge, and you might have to oil it a little more often than necessary... but it's always guaranteed not to squeeze into a turtleneck and run off to grab a latte when there's something to be done.
