Philadelphia Percussion Deringer Pistol – The Last Act Weapon
Small in size, colossal in history.
In mid-19th-century America, the streets were as unpredictable as the poker rooms, and self-defense became an everyday necessity. The Deringer Philadelphia , created by Henry Deringer between 1852 and 1868 , was born as a compact and powerful solution for very close-quarters engagements. Its small size made it especially popular with military officers , armed civilians , and—over time— silent assassins .
One Gun, One Shot... One President
History remembers it for its most tragic moment: the assassination of Abraham Lincoln on April 15, 1865. At Ford's Theatre, John Wilkes Booth shot the president in the head with a round-shot Deringer percussion rifle , thus sealing one of the darkest nights in American history. The expression he shouted — Sic semper tyrannis — resonated loudly in a nation still torn apart by the Civil War .
This non-functional, decorative replica , made of metal with a wood-effect plastic stock , features a simulated loading and firing mechanism that faithfully reproduces the original. It represents a key piece in American weapons history, ideal for collectors , historical reenactors , or lovers of moments that defined a nation.
