In 1973, Lynn C. Thompson purchased the first knife made by knifemaker Lloyd Pendleton. The two quickly became friends and together they worked on one of Cold Steel®'s most popular hunting knife collections, the critically acclaimed Pendleton Series.

The Pendleton Mini Hunter was designed with one goal in mind: to reduce a practical hunting knife to the smallest size possible. Despite its small size and discreet appearance, this superb hunting knife can even skin, gut and process large game. The Mini Hunter is an essential tool and a perfect addition to any hunting or survival kit. A durable, weather-resistant Secure-Ex® sheath is included, ensuring safe storage while remaining lightweight enough to ensure optimal comfort all day long.

Since 2015, the Pendleton Mini Hunter is also available with a blade made of high quality American CPM 3V carbon steel.

This modern tool steel may be a bit more expensive, but it is surprisingly hard and extremely wear-resistant. It is a fine-grained powder steel. With its very uniform microstructure, it offers first-class impact resistance and great edge retention, even with very fine cutting edges. It is a perfect steel for larger blades where extreme durability is required.
