3V Master Hunter®, a hunting knife with a blade made of CPM 3V steel and a stonewashed finish.

Without a doubt, this is the Master Hunter®. One of the finest hunting knives Cold Steel® has ever produced. The knife is available with a blade made of either Japanese San Mai® steel or American CPM 3V carbon steel. In both models, the wide blade has been ground to achieve the ideal cross-section and blade geometry for hunting applications. It has also been polished to a razor edge, allowing for effortless slicing. The drop-point tip is ideal for skinning and gutting hunted game. The 5 mm thick blade spine provides the strength and rigidity needed to gut and skin even the largest animals.

The handle allows for longer, fatigue-free use. It's made from impact-resistant, highly tactile Kray-Ex™ fabric and features a deeply grooved surface that will prevent any slippage, no matter how wet or bloody your hands are. An added benefit of this material is its durability: it won't rot, shrink, crack, splinter, or mold, and is completely resistant to the harshest weather conditions, while remaining comfortable even during prolonged use.

A robust secure-ex® sheath, suitable for almost any belt, ensures optimal protection and allows you to carry the knife effortlessly all day long.


Cpm 3v steel

Blades made from American CPM 3V steel can be given extremely fine edges that are also highly resistant to chipping. Despite its considerable price, this steel has enjoyed increasing popularity among knife makers in recent years. This modern tool steel is surprisingly hard and extremely wear-resistant. It is a fine-grained powder steel. With its very uniform microstructure, it offers first-class impact resistance and excellent edge retention even with very fine cutting edges. It is a perfect steel for larger blades where extreme durability is required.
