Japanese san mai® blades have been an integral part of the cold steel® range for decades. They are highly sought after by martial artists and knife collectors alike and consequently demand is high. However, these luxury fixed knives are only produced in strictly limited editions each year.



Therefore, Cold Steel® The Dusk Series. The knives in this collection are crafted to the same high standards of quality and attention to detail as classic Japanese Cold Steel® knives, except they are forged from premium American CPM 3V powder steel instead of San Mai® steel.



These strong, reliable blades have been honed to an incredible edge. The handles are made from kray-ex™ and each knife comes with a secure-ex® sheath.

2020 Model - The satin finished 3v Magnum Tanto XII replaces the older DLC coated CST-13QMBXII model which is no longer in production.



Cpm 3v steel

This modern tool steel may be a bit more expensive, but it is surprisingly hard and extremely wear-resistant. It is a fine-grained powder steel. With its very uniform microstructure, it offers first-class impact resistance and great edge retention, even with very fine cutting edges. It is a perfect steel for larger blades where extreme durability is required.
