StG 44 Assault Rifle – The Steel Roar of the Third Reich (Germany, 1943)

Forged in the furnaces of total war, the Sturmgewehr 44 was the first shadow of the modern rifle. A fiery creature that forever changed the way we fight.

This impressive replica of the StG 44 Assault Rifle (Sturmgewehr 44) transports us to the Eastern Front in 1943, when Germany took a decisive step in the evolution of armaments with the creation of this revolutionary firearm. Manufactured by Denix in Spain with high-quality wood and metal , this piece faithfully reproduces what was considered the first assault rifle in military history .

Conceived as a response to the need for a weapon capable of combining the range of a rifle with the rate of fire of a submachine gun, the StG 44 (short for Sturmgewehr 44 , "assault rifle 44") was a tactical innovation. It fired the 7.92x33mm Kurz intermediate ammunition with selective fire, allowing both semi-automatic and automatic fire. Its design would inspire decades of modern weaponry, including the famous AK-47.

The Roar of Germany in 1943

Its introduction to the front represented a technical advantage for German troops, especially on the Eastern Front, where firepower and mobility were vital. Its curved magazine, rate of fire, and advanced ergonomics for the time marked a clear departure from traditional bolt-action rifles.

This replica measures 93 cm long and weighs 4,824 grams , giving it an impressive sense of authenticity. It includes a leather strap , similar to those used in combat, and faithfully reproduces the appearance of the original weapon, with its robust structure, ergonomic grip, and steel and wood details.
