6-Barrel Pepper Revolver – The Lightning Bolt of the 19th Century
Six mouths of fire swirling in the shadow of mourning. The first roar of repetition.
When gunpowder began to reign supreme in 19th-century dueling, a weapon as curious as it was lethal emerged: the pepper shaker revolver , named for its resemblance to a spice grinder, but designed for a different kind of jolt. This non-functional, six-barreled replica evokes the concentrated power of a system that anticipated the era of the multiple shot.
Invented in the 1830s , the Pepper Shaker was an early solution to the problem of slow reloading . With its rotating drum and multiple aligned barrels, it became the favorite companion of the American civilian, gaining fame from the streets of New York to the dusty roads of the West.
Versatility and Mechanical Ingenuity
Throughout its history, this model has been adapted to all known firing systems: matchlock, wheellock, flintlock, percussion, Lefaucheux, and centerfire cartridges . It was a true laboratory of innovation for the gunsmiths of its time.
This replica is made in Spain by Denix from solid metal with wooden grips . It includes a rotating drum firing simulation system for great realism. A compact, elegant piece steeped in history.
