The Hanwei Shinto Light Katana has a hand-forged carbon steel blade with Bo-Hi . The blade of this beautiful samurai sword has been hardened differently using a traditional clay coating process.

The core of the tsuka consists of two pieces of hardwood that have been carved to fit snugly onto the fishing rod. It is covered with 2 strips of stingray skin and wrapped with high quality woven cotton cord. The blackened iron tsuba features a finely crafted dragon motif with gold detailing. The saya was made of hardwood, painted jet black and fitted with a black cotton sageo .
