Gothic sallet with halter, size M, 1.6 mm steel

Replica of a Gothic schaller from around 1495. The original is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and was made by the German silversmith Lorenz Helmschmied , Hofplattner of Emperor Maximilian I. The special feature of these schallers is that the neck support is firmly attached (riveted) to the helmet. Both the neck support and the visor are foldable and can be locked with padlocks .

The helmet doesn't have an integrated tick-tock. However, each helmet comes with a separate padded hood. If necessary, we recommend adding a snug-fitting padding.

Inside, in front of the viewing slot, there is a wire mesh, which, if not to your liking, can be easily removed, for example using a pair of side cutters.
