Hutton Sabre
The British fencing master and official Alfred Hutton (1839–1910) was a representative of the French school of fencing. He campaigned for the revival of historical fencing while simultaneously modernizing the fencing techniques of his time.
One of Hutton's great recognized achievements is that he breathed new life into the sport of fencing after it had fallen into the category of anachronistic and esoteric activities.
The Hanwei Hutton Sabre is inspired by the original, featuring a stainless steel guard and a wire-wrapped, sharkskin-effect handle. The Hutton Sabre's blade and hilt mimic the style of a military saber to create a more realistic training sword. The blade is slightly shorter, lighter, and has a rounded tip for effective training. It's also slightly more flexible than the military version of the sword.
