Cold Steels® Tiger Claw was created by knifemaker Andrew Demko and is packed with design innovations.

To design the blade, Andrew Demko drew on his extensive experience as a master electrician and engineer: when he decided to handcraft his own utility knife, he created a hybrid karambit/hawkbill knife that could cut through rope, cable, wire, and more. This knife remained his trusty companion for years, and when he purchased it from Cold Steel® and was asked to design his own version of a folding karambit, this blade shape immediately came to mind.

The Tiger Claw replicates the blade design of Andrew's original knife, but is crafted from high-quality American steel.* It combines the tactical performance of a Filipino or Indonesian combat karambit with the utility and functionality of the Hawkbill work knife.

With the Demko thumb disc, the Tiger Claw can be quickly removed from the pocket and opened with either hand, either in a fencing grip or a traditional karambit grip (with the tip pointing down).

The Tiger Claw features Demko's signature minimalist style. It features an ultra-thin CNC-machined G-10 handle, a black aluminum pommel ring, and Cold Steel's exclusive Tri-AD® locking mechanism.

Carpenter CTS® XHP steel

American Carpenter CTS® XHP steel is a high-alloy powdered steel with a high carbon and chromium content. It has very impressive edge retention. With its uniform, extremely fine grain structure, it far outperforms equivalent mild steels. This high-performance steel is used for many products, from premium kitchen knives to surgical cutlery. Its polished surface has a beautiful satin finish, and its cutting edges can be honed extremely sharply, making this steel a first-class blade material.
