Very nice reconstruction of a late medieval mace. Maces, also called maces in the Middle Ages, were used as a weapon of war by both foot and cavalry troops. It was an effective weapon against medieval plate armour, but the upper classes disapproved of it as ignoble.

The mace is made entirely of steel and has six sharpened blades, the so-called wings, on its head. The original of our replica is now in the British Museum in London. Our replica is a decorative weapon, which is not suitable for show combat.
