Buy Sachsen Jorvik Tent, 2 x 4 m, 340 g/m², Natural

Sachsen Jorvik Tent, 2 x 4 m, 340 g/m², Natural

Our Saxon tent, based on historical models, offers enough space for 1-2 people and their luggage dimensions with its compact design. It can be set up quickly with two people. The longer poles can be divided so that storing and transporting the medieval tent is easy. The interior height is approximately 2.10 m and can also be used by majestic, upright Vikings. The sewn-in hood, approximately 1.82 m high, offers good protection from sun and rain. The entrance can be easily rolled up from both sides and secured to the tent wall with a loop on each side. It is closed using an eyelet system. The entrance height is approximately 1.80 m. A dirt and wind guard is located on the lower edge of the tent interior to prevent wind and dust from entering.

The historic Saxon tent is impregnated against mold and rot. The fabric is made of pure cotton and, at 340 g/ m2, is strong and tear-resistant, yet still very affordable, making this medieval tent an indispensable piece of equipment for medieval markets, military encampments, or LARPs.

Our tents and tarps are pre-impregnated and therefore water-repellent. To maintain and renew the waterproofing, we recommend regular treatment with a waterproofing spray, such as Pluvonin. This means you'll be able to enjoy your tent for a long time.

The scope of delivery includes everything necessary for assembly and fixing.

The dimensions are approximate and may differ from the delivered product. The tents are handmade, which makes them look as authentic as possible, but also involves one or two small errors. Cotton is a natural material that behaves differently in different external conditions; that is, it can shrink or stretch very strongly. This means that the supplied iron poles may not fit immediately into the intended openings. The poles may need to be shortened slightly. Do not try to stretch the tent skin too tightly. This increases the risk of tearing or the seams opening.

Important information about the assembly, operation and care of our historic tent:

To ensure you can enjoy your Viking tent , Roman tent , Saxon tent , knight tent , medieval tent for a long time, if you have a medieval tent or market stall , the following tips will be of great help:
Don't overtighten the guy lines , because natural materials like wood and cotton change with humidity and need room to expand or contract. This way, you can prevent enlarging the pole openings in the roof so water can penetrate later. At night, we recommend loosening the guy lines slightly, as humidity increases significantly and there's a chance of putting too much pressure on the tent. If it's raining or very humid, loosen the guy lines slightly.
After use, be sure to dry your tent if it has become damp; otherwise, there is a risk of mold growth.
Do not use chemicals or other cleaning agents to clean your tent. It's best to remove dried dirt with a brush.
For long-term storage, separate all components (pegs, ropes, etc.) from the tent canvas and, ideally, pack everything separately. Make sure all parts are dry and stored in a dry place.
