Acquire Katana - Yubashiri, Roronoa Zoro, One Piece
Yubashiri - katana
This decorative sword is a replica of the yubashiri that the pirate hunter roronoa zoro (japanese: roronoa zoro) wielded for a time in the anime one piece . the yubashiri is one of the master swords (skilled-grade swords) and is therefore in the third rank of the sword classification within the anime or manga.
It has a lightly sharpened carbon steel blade approximately 68 cm long, and its tsuka is wrapped with nylon thread. The unusual decorative elements of the tsuka and saya, such as the cross-shaped tsuba, are made of gold-anodized aluminum, while the black-coated saya is made of wood.
Since the simple design lacks traditional Japanese decorations, it looks more like a guntō (mass-produced swords for the Japanese Imperial Arms) than a classic katana.
The story behind the sword
In the anime/manga, this sword was originally a family heirloom of the Loguetown arms dealer, Ipponmatsu.
After Zoro demonstrated his willpower against the cursed sword Sandai Kitetsu , Ipponmatsu ran to the attic of his shop to retrieve his family heirloom, the Yubashiri, which he then gave to Zoro along with the Kitetsu.
From then on it served the three-sworded swordsman well until it finally met its end in Enies Lobby in the fight against Marine Captain Shu, who used his devilish power to rust it, turning the sword's blade into dust.
However, Zoro held onto the remains of his trusty sword for a while until it finally found a suitable final resting place in the Rumbar Pirates' Grave in Thriller Bark.
It is worth noting that this katana was designed as a collector's item or decorative object.
