Leather gloves
DescriptionThe smell of sickness is stale in the streets, but you are the Plague Doctor. All you smell is the fresh lemon balm and rosehip of your mask, protecting you from the lethal miasma of the dying.
You wear a mask, robes, and leather gloves as protection against the dangers of the world's diseases, shielding you much as a knight's armor protects him from a fatal blow. To everyone else, you are a symbol of knowledge and healing... but also the harbinger of death. Gazing into the blackness of your mask's eyes is like exposing your soul, so even your patients harbor fear in your presence.
DETAILS
These best-selling leather gauntlets from Epic Armory are thick, attractive leather gauntlets with 6-inch (15 cm) long cuffs. They are made of chrome-tanned and plated leather and stitched at all joints around the fingers, wrists, and edges. This stitching enhances the material's strength, preventing it from deforming with heavy use or environmental exposure. The fit of the gauntlets can be adjusted with a drawstring threaded through four brass grommets on the outside of the cuff.
The gloves are fully compatible with other metal and leather items from Epic Armory and are particularly useful paired with leather and steel gauntlets. Their low-fantasy appearance and subdued style can be used in a multitude of settings, allowing you the freedom to create your own unique costume.
Available in black and brown, medium and large sizes.

Maintenance
Natural leather products are very durable, but they require regular maintenance with leather care products to stay supple and increase their lifespan. Make sure your leather products stay dry when stored. Let wet leather dry naturally before treating it. If it gets wet and dries frequently, increase the frequency of maintenance.
Cleaning
Clean by removing dirt with a stiff brush, then gently rub leather soap with a clean, damp cloth until the leather looks clean. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to clean any soap residue, and then use a dry cloth to wipe away any remaining water from the leather.
Conditioning
You should always condition leather after cleaning it, as the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. Treat the leather with mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or wax into the leather in circles. Allow the leather to soak in the oil before wiping it with a final clean cloth to remove excess residue.
